The City That Never Sleeps
Image and video hosting by TinyPic Welcome to my blog. I respond to Angela. This is a blog that is probably never genuinely happy and a tad deep...but read on.

title : Life isn't a dress rehearsal

“You always know the right thing to do. The hard part is doing it”
On Friday we went to this thing called “Innuburra health conference”. It’s this conference which is supposed to teach us how to live a happy and healthy life. Here are the simple rules:
  1. Don’t smoke
  2. Don’t drink ( APPARENTLY KILLS YOUR BRAIN CELLS!! ><)
  3. Don’t read any magazines. It can lead to depression, anorexia and bulimia because of the perfect images portrayed by the models
  4. Don’t cyber bully
  5. Don’t have unprotected sex
  6. Don’t have sex

Basically if we follow these rules we can live a happy life. Some people are so delusional in thinking that those are the only rules you have to follow in order to have a smooth content existence on earth . I’m going to add a few of my own rules:
  1. Don’t leave your heart unprotected
  2. Have a cold hard heart so nothing can affect you
  3. Don’t fall in love ( that way you won’t get a broken heart)
  4. Don’t have high expectations for everything because the higher your hopes the harder you fall

The four rules that I have added are the four rules that are the hardest to keep. Maybe this is why we humans are constantly getting hurt. But then life isn’t really life if we didn’t have a few bumps to go through or in some cases mountains to climb before we reach the smooth road. (At least until we reach another mountain again)
I’ve just realised that I’m particularly intrigued by waves on the beach. They to me seem so beautiful and relaxing. We went to Narrabeen beach on Thursday and while we were sitting there I just stared far into the horizon of the beach were sky seems to meet water. That day was particularly cloudy so the water, the sky and the horizon was the same colour grey. After staring at the scenic view a strange thought popped up in my head; It was that if I ever had to die not of old age but of something else I would probably choose to die in the waves of the beach. I have no idea why I suddenly got that creepy thought but whenever I stare out at a view I always get a feeling of loneliness and solitude. My favourite views are the ones that are mysterious, alluring, deep, dangerous yet beautiful. E.g. (The blue mountains or the beach when it’s a cloudy day. I hate sunny beaches).  Now I wanna learn how to surf!
Ohmigod maths test on THURSDAY! I  am like freaking out already. Ohkay so last term we did a topic called “Trigonometry” and I was like so PRO at it and so confident that if we had a topic test I would get 99.999% but NO. We have to have the test after a holiday break and 4 weeks into school which means I have completely forgotten everything! So now instead of spending my weekend shopping and watching fast and furious 5 I have to spend it studying. BOOOO!
