title : Imperfections

Today I went to the orthodontist for the first time. I was actually pretty nervous because alot of people have told me how scary it is and how ugly and painful the braces are. THATS RIGHT IM GETTING BRACES! I use to think that I didn't need braces because my teeth were perfectly straight until two months ago when my wisdom tooth stared pushing all my other teeth together. So now I have to be stuck with fugly braces for one and a half year.
I really want to get all the imperfections on my face away so this is just the first step. I don't care about the pain or the cost. Next imma visit the beautician to remove the small mole on my upper lip which is annoying me and that it painful. They literally burn you with a laser and you can smell your flesh burning ><
My mum introduced a new private maths tutor to me and I REALLY like her. She has motivation for me and she  has ambition for me. With her I feel like I am heading on the right path with her. Currently she is forcing me to do  Year 11 and 12 two unit maths. She wants me to take 4 unit maths for my electives. When she told me i was like..."Are you crazy?" Four unit maths is something that the highest maths class level in my school would do. But I do like the way the teacher is pushing me out of my comfort zone.
When I was younger I loved to read books and I still do. I can get through one whole harry potter book in a day. My parents use to as a punishment take away my books because I would sneakily read at night. But i still found a way to read under bad lighting. Now I totally regret it because my eyesight is so bad I cant see the face of a person standing 5 metres away from me. I am planning on getting contact lenses by the end of this year.
Moral of the story : Listen to your parents.
I recently bought this book called " Battle hymn of the tiger mother" and I was not as surprised as the Westerners were when they first read the book. Partly because I come from an Asian family who are strict on respect and obedience as well. I also was no surprised at the stuff Amy Chua called her daughter examples are " garbage" "fatty" "stupid" because my parents have also called me that as well. Though it does hurt alot I believe that it really helps in shaping ones character, stamina and determination. After reading the book it has motivated me to play at least one hour of piano EVERY day now. ;)
